Our commitment
Forever Dental and Skin is committed to making our website and our dental practice accessible to as many people as possible, in line with our duties under the Equality Act 2010. We aim to provide a website experience that meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
This statement applies to https://foreverdentalandskin.co.uk. It does not cover any third-party services we link to (such as the Dental Complaints Service or General Dental Council websites), which publish their own accessibility statements.
What we have done so far
To make the site easier to use we have:
- used a clear, consistent layout and high-contrast colour scheme;
- made the site responsive, so it works on phones, tablets and desktop computers;
- used semantic HTML headings and landmarks so screen-readers can navigate the page structure;
- added alternative text to images that convey meaning;
- ensured links and buttons are keyboard-accessible and have visible focus styles;
- kept text resizable up to 200% in your browser without breaking the layout;
- avoided auto-playing audio and limited animation that could distract or trigger motion sensitivities;
- chosen fonts and font sizes that aim to remain readable on small screens.
How accessible this website is
We are working towards full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. We are aware of the following limitations and are addressing them:
- some older imagery may not yet have descriptive alt text;
- some embedded videos may not yet have captions or transcripts — captions are being added progressively;
- colour contrast on a small number of decorative components may fall below AA in unusual viewport sizes — these are being reviewed.
If you find a problem on the site that isn’t listed above, we want to hear about it (see Reporting accessibility problems below).
Accessibility at the practice
We aim to make a visit to Forever Dental and Skin as comfortable as possible for everyone. If you have any specific needs — for example step-free access, longer appointment times, a quieter waiting area, an interpreter, large-print forms, or an accompanying carer — please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Large-print materials: Available on request.
- Communication needs: Please tell us in advance if you would prefer email rather than phone, or if you would like a longer consent conversation.
